EXIT

2024

BETWEEN SOLIDITY AND ILLUSION, THE SPACE REFUSES A CLEAR ENTRANCE OR EXIT.

Exit, 2024. 3DS Max model, Viroc and mirrored PVC,
240 × 220 × 40 cm.

Exit is a spatial installation project conceived through a 3D model, exploring the transition from physical space into a psychological one. Reduced to essential geometric forms, the project establishes an apparent sense of order, precision and control. Its exterior is conceived in raw concrete, suggesting solidity, weight and permanence. In contrast, the interior is entirely lined with mirrored surfaces, dissolving spatial boundaries through reflection and repetition. The opposition between the concrete shell and its illusory interior creates a space that appears physically defined while remaining perceptually unstable.

As the viewer enters, orientation becomes increasingly uncertain. Reflections disrupt the distinction between interior and exterior, while the presence of multiple doors makes it difficult to determine where the experience begins or ends. Entrance and exit become interchangeable conditions.

Through this tension between control and disorientation, Exit questions the human desire for logic, certainty and linear progression. The precisely conceived structure ultimately produces the opposite experience: ambiguity. Rather than offering a defined path, the project places the viewer in an unstable space where perception, direction and meaning remain unresolved.
