Liminal Space I–IV explores the condition of existing between two spaces. Constructed from transparent coloured acrylic mounted on white PVC structures, the works operate as thresholds rather than autonomous objects, questioning where one space ends and another begins.

Transparency allows the surrounding environment to remain visible through the work, preventing the structure from establishing a complete separation. Interior and exterior overlap, while the physical boundary simultaneously divides and connects the spaces around it.

The viewer is fundamental to this relationship. As the body moves around the work, different planes align, overlap and separate, continuously altering the spatial experience. There is no single position from which the work can be fully perceived; its configuration depends on the viewer’s movement and point of view.

Liminal Space therefore exists not as a fixed spatial condition, but as a transitional one. The work becomes a passage between spaces, activated by the presence of the viewer and continuously redefined through their movement.
